You Were Made for God’s Glory

God has created all things to bring glory to Himself.

For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. Colossians 1:16

For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen. Romans 11:36

“I will say to the north, Give up,
and to the south, Do not withhold;
bring my sons from afar
and my daughters from the end of the earth,
everyone who is called by my name,
whom I created for my glory,
whom I formed and made.”

Isaiah 43:6-7

…the people whom I formed for myself that they might declare my praise. Isaiah 43:21

You were designed to treasure and appreciate your Creator above all things.

God is infinitely worthy of all of your appreciation and honor.

Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they existed and were created.”  Revelation 4:11

Yours, O Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, for all that is in the heavens and in the earth is yours. Yours is the kingdom, O Lord, and you are exalted as head above all. 1 Chronicles 29:11

There is true, bad news that must not be overlooked.

You have failed to love God and glorify Him with your thoughts, motives and actions.

The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it? Jeremiah 17:9

…as it is written: “None is righteous, no, not one; no one understands;
no one seeks for God.
All have turned aside; together they have become worthless; no one does good, not even one.” Romans 3:10-12

You have fallen short of His glory.
You have missed the mark of God’s standards.

…for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God  Romans 3:23

Because God is holy and just, He must and will punish sinners.

You who are of purer eyes than to see evil and cannot look at wrong… Habakkuk 1:13

And just as it is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment… Hebrews 9:27

“But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the detestable, as for murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death.” Revelation 21:8

You deserve to be punished for your sin.

For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 6:23

The Good News

God, in love, sent His perfect Son Jesus Christ who suffered God’s judgment in your place on a cross so that all who repent and trust in Jesus will be saved from His wrath, forgiven and made right with the Creator of the universe.

…but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8

For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.  2 Corinthians  5:21

But he was wounded for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; Isaiah 53:5

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16

What Must I Do To Be Saved?

There is HOPE found in Jesus Christ. You are commanded to Repent and Believe in Jesus Christ.

“The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel.” Mark 1:15

Repentance and belief are two sides of the same coin:

Repentance is a forsaking of your rebellion and crimes against God. It is evidenced by a hatred for those things that displease God and a desire to treasure Him above all things in your life.

Trusting (or believing) in Jesus Christ is more than an intellectual agreement. It is realizing that without Him you have no hope and will perish in an eternity under the wrath of God. You are casting your entire self upon Him and what He has done for you on the cross. He died, He was buried, and then He rose from the dead. Only He alone can save you from your sins.

Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God remains on him. John 3:36

For the Scripture says, “Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame.” Romans 10:11

Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved, for you are my praise.Jeremiah 17:14
